Portland Head Light is 3 km from South Portland, and Cape Elizabeth Light (1874) 9 km down the coast at 17 meters. Brunswick is the base for Doubling Point Light and Hendricks Head Light, 13 to 24 km out. In the south, the Cape Neddick "Nubble" Lighthouse (1879) is 17 km from Portsmouth. Pemaquid Point Light and Bass Harbor Head Light (1858) are further up the coast, away from any sizable town.
RLQuest knows 54 named lighthouses in Maine, 43 of them with a Wikipedia article. The Ladies Delight Light is the odd one out, 9 km from Augusta and nowhere near the sea. In the app, a lighthouse walk is a quest confirmed by the route you recorded, and the rocks you crossed become tiles on your map.

RLQuest knows these places too. Which means:
Some of your daily quests lead to a real place near you. The app uses your location to check you were really there.
If you're the first person in RLQuest to complete a quest at a place, it's your first find. The Place Book shows you which kinds of place you're still missing.
Every walk uncovers tiles, each about 350 m across. Over time you can see which corners you know well, and where you've never set foot.
