Narragansett Bay does the work here. Newport has Newport Harbor Light (1865) a kilometer from town, Rose Island Lighthouse 3 km out and Castle Hill Lighthouse 5 km away; across the water, Beavertail Light (1856) and Dutch Island Light are 4 and 6 km from Narragansett. Portsmouth has Prudence Island Light and Hog Island Shoal Light, and Pomham Rocks Light is 4 km from East Providence. Point Judith Lighthouse near South Kingstown and Watch Hill Lighthouse near Westerly face the open ocean.
RLQuest knows 26 named lighthouses in Rhode Island, 15 of them with a Wikipedia article, and Block Island North Light needs a ferry first. In the app, each is a quest endpoint checked against your recorded route, and the stretch of shore you walked becomes tiles on your map.
Every dot is a place. The numbers mark the highlights listed below.
Ordered by how much has been written about each place. The numbers match the map.

A selection, best known first, with the nearest larger town next to each.
RLQuest knows these places too. Which means:
Some of your daily quests lead to a real place near you. The app uses your location to check you were really there.
If you're the first person in RLQuest to complete a quest at a place, it's your first find. The Place Book shows you which kinds of place you're still missing.
Every walk uncovers tiles, each about 350 m across. Over time you can see which corners you know well, and where you've never set foot.
