Most of Michigan's lighthouses stand far from any town. On Lake Superior there are Whitefish Point Lighthouse (1861), Big Bay Point Lighthouse and Copper Harbor Light; out in the lake, Stannard Rock Lighthouse. Lake Huron's shore has Pointe aux Barques Lighthouse (1857), Harbor Beach Light (1885), Alpena Light (1914) and Fort Gratiot Light (1829) opposite Sarnia. Lake Michigan adds Big Sable Point Lighthouse, Little Sable Point Lighthouse and Holland Harbor Light, 9 km from Holland.
Michigan's list runs to 110 named lighthouses RLQuest knows, 61 of them with a Wikipedia article. Most entries are a drive and then a walk, which is how the app likes it: the quest is the last stretch on foot, confirmed by your recorded route, with the dune tiles filling in as you go.

RLQuest knows these places too. Which means:
Some of your daily quests lead to a real place near you. The app uses your location to check you were really there.
If you're the first person in RLQuest to complete a quest at a place, it's your first find. The Place Book shows you which kinds of place you're still missing.
Every walk uncovers tiles, each about 350 m across. Over time you can see which corners you know well, and where you've never set foot.
