Brandenburg's ruins are church, castle and industrial in roughly equal parts. Kloster Lindow is 14 km from Neuruppin; the Burgruine Zolchow, from before 1290, 5 km from Werder; the Kirchenruine Dolgelin 19 km from Frankfurt (Oder). Around Eberswalde are the Waggonaufzug Eberswalde (1 km), Burg Finow (8 km) and Kraftwerk Heegermühle (5 km). The Motte von Mahlenzien is 13 km from Brandenburg an der Havel.
RLQuest knows 78 ruins in Brandenburg, 18 with a Wikipedia article. That is more ruins than observation towers (56) or megalithic tombs (52), and a different kind of outing from the 179 castles and palaces: less lawn, more undergrowth. Each one is a quest RLQuest can set and check; it reads your route, not your word, and fills in the map hex by hex as you go.

RLQuest knows these places too. Which means:
Some of your daily quests lead to a real place near you. The app uses your location to check you were really there.
If you're the first person in RLQuest to complete a quest at a place, it's your first find. The Place Book shows you which kinds of place you're still missing.
Every walk uncovers tiles, each about 350 m across. Over time you can see which corners you know well, and where you've never set foot.
