Bavaria's ruins run from Celtic and Roman earthworks to castle walls. The Limes shows up near Weißenburg in Bayern (6 and 11 km) and as a Römischer Wachturm 18 km from Ingolstadt; the Keltenschanze is 20 km from Nördlingen. Castles: Burgruine Botenlauben 2 km from Bad Kissingen, the Rothenberg 7 km from Lauf an der Pegnitz, Burg Rothenstein 13 km from Memmingen, Burgruine Thierstein 7 km from Selb.
RLQuest knows 207 ruins in Bavaria, and 69 have a Wikipedia article, exactly a third. The names give the type away: Burgruine, Burgstall, Keltenschanze, Limes. For RLQuest a ruin is a destination like any other; the app sets the quest, your phone records the walk, and the check is the route, not a photo of the wall.

RLQuest knows these places too. Which means:
Some of your daily quests lead to a real place near you. The app uses your location to check you were really there.
If you're the first person in RLQuest to complete a quest at a place, it's your first find. The Place Book shows you which kinds of place you're still missing.
Every walk uncovers tiles, each about 350 m across. Over time you can see which corners you know well, and where you've never set foot.
