Two of Munich's three city gates, the Karlstor and the Sendlinger Tor, are 0.7 km from the center, and the Löwenturm, a 14th-century tower, is even closer. Schloss Nymphenburg is 5.8 km out, with the Badenburg at 6.4 km; Schloss Lustheim (1684) is at 12.4 km, Schloss Blutenburg at 9.3 km and Burg Grünwald at 11.3 km, 28 castles in all.
The Alps stay outside the 25 km circle, so the 30 peaks here are modest: the Olympiaberg at 4 km, the Perlacher Mugl, the Luitpoldhügel. What stands out instead is the archaeology, 30 sites from the Römerschanze Grünwald to the Keltenschanze at 15 km. Any of them can turn up as a morning quest in RLQuest.
Each hexagon covers a little over 5 square kilometers. The brighter it glows, the more places are inside it. The numbers mark the highlights listed below; the dot in the middle is the center of Munich.

RLQuest knows these places too. Which means:
Some of your daily quests lead to a real place near you. The app uses your location to check you were really there.
If you're the first person in RLQuest to complete a quest at a place, it's your first find. The Place Book shows you which kinds of place you're still missing.
Every walk uncovers tiles, each about 350 m across. Over time you can see which corners you know well, and where you've never set foot.
