Bavaria's towers are mostly in the north. The Asenturm (1923) stands at 1024 m, 19 km from Bayreuth; the Prinz-Luitpold-Turm (1902) 20 km from Hof. Coburg has the Bismarckturm Coburg (1901) 1 km from town and the Eckardtsturm 2 km. Nuremberg's Schmausenbuckturm (1888) is 5 km from the center. In the south the list thins out: the Bismarckturm Assenhausen at 665 m, 7 km from Starnberg, and the Taubenbergturm 7 km from Holzkirchen.
Of the 136 observation towers RLQuest knows in Bavaria, 27 have a Wikipedia article. Several carry a build date, from the Schmausenbuckturm in 1888 to the Aussichtsturm Rödlas near Amberg in 1977. Towers are among the easiest RLQuest quests to confirm: one point, one climb. The app checks your route reached the base and the tiles around it fill in.

RLQuest knows these places too. Which means:
Some of your daily quests lead to a real place near you. The app uses your location to check you were really there.
If you're the first person in RLQuest to complete a quest at a place, it's your first find. The Place Book shows you which kinds of place you're still missing.
Every walk uncovers tiles, each about 350 m across. Over time you can see which corners you know well, and where you've never set foot.
