Rhineland-Palatinate has a lot of hills with towers on top. The Schänzelturm (1874) stands at 613 meters about 10 km from Neustadt an der Weinstraße, the Bismarckturm Kallstadt (1903) at 493 meters is 4 km from Bad Dürkheim, and the Rehbergturm of 1862 is a short drive from Landau in der Pfalz. Around Kaiserslautern there are the Humbergturm right by the city and the Potzbergturm (1951) further out; the Aussichtsturm Fünfseenblick is 5 km from Boppard.
RLQuest knows 109 named observation towers in the state, 25 of them with a Wikipedia article, and far more castles: 375, plus 122 ruins. The app gives you a few outdoor quests each day and checks them against your recorded route, so a climb to a tower like this counts for more than the view.

RLQuest knows these places too. Which means:
Some of your daily quests lead to a real place near you. The app uses your location to check you were really there.
If you're the first person in RLQuest to complete a quest at a place, it's your first find. The Place Book shows you which kinds of place you're still missing.
Every walk uncovers tiles, each about 350 m across. Over time you can see which corners you know well, and where you've never set foot.
