The ruins RLQuest knows in Rhineland-Palatinate are a mixed lot. Kloster Disibodenberg, 14 km from Bad Kreuznach, and Burg Stauf near Bad Dürkheim are the classic kind; the Ruine Hindenburgbrücke at Bingen am Rhein is a bridge, the Römisches Theater sits a kilometer from the center of Mainz, and the Ehemalige Bergstation der Bad Dürkheimer Gondelbahn is what is left of a cable-car station. Further south, the Steinenschloss is 7 km from Pirmasens.
That adds up to 122 named ruins, 31 of them with a Wikipedia article. For context, the state also has 375 castles and palaces and 109 observation towers with their own pages here. Standing in a roofless nave is a decent reason to go out, and RLQuest turns it into a quest it can check from your route.

RLQuest knows these places too. Which means:
Some of your daily quests lead to a real place near you. The app uses your location to check you were really there.
If you're the first person in RLQuest to complete a quest at a place, it's your first find. The Place Book shows you which kinds of place you're still missing.
Every walk uncovers tiles, each about 350 m across. Over time you can see which corners you know well, and where you've never set foot.
