Hanover's ruins are in the center: the Aegidienkirche (1347) and the St.-Nikolai-Kapelle from around the 13th century are both within a kilometer. Goslar has a run of them, the Stiftskirche St. Simon und Judas and Stiftsruine St. Georg, all within 1 km. Castle ruins: Burgruine Hunnesrück 13 km from Einbeck, Burg Sichelnstein and the Brackenburg 7 km from Hannoversch Münden. The Rieswarte is 7 km from Göttingen.
Of the 83 ruins RLQuest knows in Lower Saxony, 29 have a Wikipedia article. Churches and chapels make up an unusual share of the list. Several sit in town centers, which makes them short RLQuest quests, and a few, like Hunnesrück or the Rieswarte, a proper walk. Either way the app reads the route, and the tiles you crossed stay colored in.

RLQuest knows these places too. Which means:
Some of your daily quests lead to a real place near you. The app uses your location to check you were really there.
If you're the first person in RLQuest to complete a quest at a place, it's your first find. The Place Book shows you which kinds of place you're still missing.
Every walk uncovers tiles, each about 350 m across. Over time you can see which corners you know well, and where you've never set foot.
