East Frisia has the thickest spread: the Vrouw Johanna 1 km from Emden, the Inselwindmühle Norderney 13 km from Norden, the Stiftsmühle in Aurich. Around Hanover: the Lindener Mühle 2 km from the center, the Struckmeyersche (1878) and Sorsumer Mühle (1880) 5 km from Ronnenberg. Elsewhere, the Rügenwalder Mühle is 2 km from Bad Zwischenahn and the Windmühle Emtinghausen (1873) 10 km from Achim.
RLQuest knows 251 windmills in Lower Saxony, 30 with a Wikipedia article. That makes it the second-longest list the state has in the app, after its 345 megalithic tombs. Several go by first names, Paula, Henriette, Anna Maria, Aurora, the way ships do. A windmill is a quest you can see from a long way off; RLQuest still checks that your route reached it.

RLQuest knows these places too. Which means:
Some of your daily quests lead to a real place near you. The app uses your location to check you were really there.
If you're the first person in RLQuest to complete a quest at a place, it's your first find. The Place Book shows you which kinds of place you're still missing.
Every walk uncovers tiles, each about 350 m across. Over time you can see which corners you know well, and where you've never set foot.
