Hanover is short on castles but long on windmills: 19 within 25 km, starting with the Lindener Mühle 2.1 km from the center and running out to the Struckmeyersche Mühle (1878) and the Sorsumer Mühle (1880). The Beginenturm at 0.2 km and the Pferdeturm from 1387 are the old towers; Schloss Herrenhausen, 3.3 km out, is the palace, in a building completed in 2013. Farther afield the Annaturm on the Deister stands at 405 meters, 20.6 km from town.
Twelve monuments for a city this size is respectable, the Sachsenross and the Waterloosäule among them, and the Maschseebad puts a beach 3.3 km from the center. Any of them can come up as a quest, and the app knows whether you got there.
Each hexagon covers a little over 5 square kilometers. The brighter it glows, the more places are inside it. The numbers mark the highlights listed below; the dot in the middle is the center of Hanover.

RLQuest knows these places too. Which means:
Some of your daily quests lead to a real place near you. The app uses your location to check you were really there.
If you're the first person in RLQuest to complete a quest at a place, it's your first find. The Place Book shows you which kinds of place you're still missing.
Every walk uncovers tiles, each about 350 m across. Over time you can see which corners you know well, and where you've never set foot.
