Saxony's ruins lean toward sandstone. The Felsenburg Neurathen, 10 km from Pirna, and the Hinteres Raubschloss, closer to Děčín than to any Saxon town, are rock castles where the stone did most of the building; the Burgruine Grimmstein and Burg Helfenberg are both within 10 km of Heidenau. Bautzen has the Nicolaikirche and the Ruine Mönchskirche (1240) a kilometer from the center. Radebeul comes with a small set of its own: Bilzburg, Mäuseturm and Blechburg, all within 2 km.
The list has 77 named ruins, 16 with a Wikipedia article, next to 364 castles and 82 observation towers for the same state. Ruins reward getting close: the shape only makes sense from inside the walls. RLQuest's quests work the same way; the app checks that you were there, with your route, and marks the tile as yours.

RLQuest knows these places too. Which means:
Some of your daily quests lead to a real place near you. The app uses your location to check you were really there.
If you're the first person in RLQuest to complete a quest at a place, it's your first find. The Place Book shows you which kinds of place you're still missing.
Every walk uncovers tiles, each about 350 m across. Over time you can see which corners you know well, and where you've never set foot.
