Schleswig-Holstein, between the North Sea and the Baltic, is manor-house country more than castle country. Schloss Gottorf is just outside Schleswig, Schloss Glücksburg is 8 km from Flensburg, Schloss Ahrensburg and Schloss Reinbek stand in their own towns, and Schloss vor Husum is a kilometer from the center of Husum. Schloss Plön and the Blomenburg are both within 12 km of Preetz, and Gut Emkendorf near Rendsburg stands for the many estates on the list.
With 38 named castles, palaces and manor houses, 23 of them with a Wikipedia article, this is one of the smaller lists on the site. The state's strength is elsewhere: 212 megalithic tombs, 84 windmills and 65 lighthouses have their own pages. In RLQuest, each of these places is a point on your map that only fills in once you have actually stood there.
Every dot is a place. The numbers mark the highlights listed below.
Ordered by how much has been written about each place. The numbers match the map.

A selection, best known first, with the nearest larger town next to each.
RLQuest knows these places too. Which means:
Some of your daily quests lead to a real place near you. The app uses your location to check you were really there.
If you're the first person in RLQuest to complete a quest at a place, it's your first find. The Place Book shows you which kinds of place you're still missing.
Every walk uncovers tiles, each about 350 m across. Over time you can see which corners you know well, and where you've never set foot.
