Baden-Württemberg has castles at every scale. The big residences: Heidelberger Schloss (2 km from Heidelberg), Schloss Ludwigsburg (in town), Schloss Schwetzingen (1 km), Schloss Sigmaringen on the Danube (1 km). The hilltop fortresses: Burg Hohenzollern 3 km from Hechingen, Festung Hohentwiel 2 km from Singen, Festung Hohenasperg 4 km from Bietigheim-Bissingen, Burg Rötteln 3 km from Lörrach. And the Roman end: Annexkastell Osterburken (built 185) and the Kleinkastell Haselburg near Buchen in Odenwald.
RLQuest knows 858 castles and palaces in Baden-Württemberg, 626 with a Wikipedia article. The state is deep in everything: 1364 viewpoints, 284 caves, 212 ruins and 165 observation towers each have a page here. A castle is still the most satisfying quest, and in RLQuest it works like this: walk there, let the app check your route, and keep the tiles you crossed.
Every dot is a place. The numbers mark the highlights listed below.

RLQuest knows these places too. Which means:
Some of your daily quests lead to a real place near you. The app uses your location to check you were really there.
If you're the first person in RLQuest to complete a quest at a place, it's your first find. The Place Book shows you which kinds of place you're still missing.
Every walk uncovers tiles, each about 350 m across. Over time you can see which corners you know well, and where you've never set foot.
