Berlin is flat, which is why the towers matter. The Grunewaldturm stands 15.4 km out on the Havel, with the Jagdschloss Grunewald, a hunting lodge from 1542, in the same forest; the Müggelturm covers the southeast at 18.8 km. Closer in, Schloss Charlottenburg is 7.8 km from the center, and the Zitadelle Spandau, a fortress begun in 1559, sits 13.5 km out where the Spree meets the Havel.
The surprise is water: RLQuest knows 28 beaches within the radius, from Strandbad Weißensee at 5 km to Strandbad Jungfernheide, plus 64 hills that are gentler than the word peak suggests, Teufelsberg included. A few of these turn up as daily quests in the app, and each one you actually reach fills in another tile of your map.
Each hexagon covers a little over 5 square kilometers. The brighter it glows, the more places are inside it. The numbers mark the highlights listed below; the dot in the middle is the center of Berlin.

RLQuest knows these places too. Which means:
Some of your daily quests lead to a real place near you. The app uses your location to check you were really there.
If you're the first person in RLQuest to complete a quest at a place, it's your first find. The Place Book shows you which kinds of place you're still missing.
Every walk uncovers tiles, each about 350 m across. Over time you can see which corners you know well, and where you've never set foot.
