The lighthouses around Victoria are the easy ones: Fisgard Lighthouse is 3 km from Esquimalt, Trial Islands Lighthouse (1970) 6 km from Victoria, Race Rocks Lighthouse 15 km from Colwood and Sheringham Point Lighthouse 14 km from Sooke. On the mainland, Point Atkinson Lighthouse (1912) is 8 km from West Vancouver and Brockton Point Lighthouse 4 km from North Vancouver. Up the coast: Amphitrite Point, Cape Beale, Estevan Point, Cape Scott and Langara Point, most with no town nearby.
Of the 56 lighthouses RLQuest knows in British Columbia, 19 have a Wikipedia article, and many sit on islands or remote points. The ones near Victoria, Nanaimo and Vancouver are the realistic quests. RLQuest checks a visit against your recorded route, so a lighthouse you can see across the water does not count until you stand at it.

RLQuest knows these places too. Which means:
Some of your daily quests lead to a real place near you. The app uses your location to check you were really there.
If you're the first person in RLQuest to complete a quest at a place, it's your first find. The Place Book shows you which kinds of place you're still missing.
Every walk uncovers tiles, each about 350 m across. Over time you can see which corners you know well, and where you've never set foot.
