Portland's list is the shortest of the 50, 73 places within 25 km, and it's mostly hills and water: Mount Tabor at 6.6 km, Rocky Butte at 9 km, Powell Butte at 14 km among 30 peaks, and Willamette Falls at 19.7 km leading eight waterfalls, Cedar Mill Falls and Hidden Falls among them. Poet's Beach on the Willamette is 1.9 km from the center.
Three ruins carry the historic side: the Lovejoy Columns 0.4 km from the center, the Witch's Castle at 3.8 km and the Oregon Iron Company Furnace at 12.6 km. The Nichaqwli Monument at 17.4 km is one of seven monuments. Short list, big hills: the buttes are the quests to plan a morning around.
Each hexagon covers a little over 5 square kilometers. The brighter it glows, the more places are inside it. The numbers mark the highlights listed below; the dot in the middle is the center of Portland, Oregon.

RLQuest knows these places too. Which means:
Some of your daily quests lead to a real place near you. The app uses your location to check you were really there.
If you're the first person in RLQuest to complete a quest at a place, it's your first find. The Place Book shows you which kinds of place you're still missing.
Every walk uncovers tiles, each about 350 m across. Over time you can see which corners you know well, and where you've never set foot.
