The Taunus sits just inside Frankfurt's 25 km circle, which is where the good stuff is: Burg Kronberg at 14.6 km, the Burgruine Königstein at 17.6 km, the Römerkastell Saalburg at 19.3 km and the Großer Feldberg with its lookout tower at 20.7 km. In town, the Eschenheimer Turm (1426) is 0.4 km from the center and the Main Tower has the view; the Goetheturm, built 1931, stands in the forest south of the river at 3.5 km.
What you won't expect is 27 bunkers, many of them Hochbunker in the inner districts, and 48 archaeological sites including stretches of the Römischer Limes. When one of them lands in your morning quests, the walk out fills in tiles you've never uncovered.
Each hexagon covers a little over 5 square kilometers. The brighter it glows, the more places are inside it. The numbers mark the highlights listed below; the dot in the middle is the center of Frankfurt.

RLQuest knows these places too. Which means:
Some of your daily quests lead to a real place near you. The app uses your location to check you were really there.
If you're the first person in RLQuest to complete a quest at a place, it's your first find. The Place Book shows you which kinds of place you're still missing.
Every walk uncovers tiles, each about 350 m across. Over time you can see which corners you know well, and where you've never set foot.
