Bern starts with two gates: the Zytglogge at the very center and the Käfigturm 0.3 km away. From there the castles fan out, Neues Schloss Bümpliz at 4.2 km, Schloss Thorberg at 656 meters and 10.8 km, Schloss Jegenstorf at 12.1 km, Schloss Laupen at 16.5 km, Schloss Burgdorf at 18.2 km, 57 in all. The Gurten, 3.4 km out, has its own tower.
Archaeology is unusually strong at 66 sites, from the Lenbrunnen 0.4 km from the center and a Römische Badeanlage at 3.9 km to Petinesca, a temple complex at 21.7 km. The Chutzenturm, a lookout from 2010, stands at 819 meters. Get up there for a quest and RLQuest knows you did.
Each hexagon covers a little over 5 square kilometers. The brighter it glows, the more places are inside it. The numbers mark the highlights listed below; the dot in the middle is the center of Bern.

RLQuest knows these places too. Which means:
Some of your daily quests lead to a real place near you. The app uses your location to check you were really there.
If you're the first person in RLQuest to complete a quest at a place, it's your first find. The Place Book shows you which kinds of place you're still missing.
Every walk uncovers tiles, each about 350 m across. Over time you can see which corners you know well, and where you've never set foot.
