Stonehenge, 12 km from Salisbury, is on the list, and so is Avebury Stone Circle near Calne, but the density is in the far west. Within 9 km of Penzance stand The Merry Maidens Stone Circle, Mên-an-Tol and Lanyon Quoit. Nine Ladies Stone Circle is 17 km from Chesterfield. In Cumbria, Castlerigg Stone Circle and Long Meg and her Daughters are both reached from Penrith; Kit's Coty House is 6 km from Maidstone.
RLQuest knows 237 named stone circles, standing stones, quoits and long barrows in England, 70 of them with a Wikipedia article. One, the Soulton Long Barrow near Shrewsbury, was built in 2017. Most are in open country; a quest that ends at a stone is confirmed from your route, and the moorland fills in on your map.

RLQuest knows these places too. Which means:
Some of your daily quests lead to a real place near you. The app uses your location to check you were really there.
If you're the first person in RLQuest to complete a quest at a place, it's your first find. The Place Book shows you which kinds of place you're still missing.
Every walk uncovers tiles, each about 350 m across. Over time you can see which corners you know well, and where you've never set foot.
