In the north of England a waterfall is a force. Hardraw Force, High Force, Low Force, Cauldron Snout and Kisdon Force are all in the Pennine dales, far from any town; Aira Force is 15 km from Penrith, Scale Force 17 km from Whitehaven, Janet's Foss 23 km from Colne. Cautley Spout is 17 km from Kendal. In the southwest, St. Nectan's Kieve is 21 km from Bodmin and the White Lady Waterfall 26 km from Saltash.
RLQuest knows 266 named waterfalls in England; 22 have a Wikipedia article, so most of them you find by going rather than by reading. Waterfalls make good distance quests because the sound tells you when you are close; the app relies on your recorded route instead, and colors in the valley you walked up.

RLQuest knows these places too. Which means:
Some of your daily quests lead to a real place near you. The app uses your location to check you were really there.
If you're the first person in RLQuest to complete a quest at a place, it's your first find. The Place Book shows you which kinds of place you're still missing.
Every walk uncovers tiles, each about 350 m across. Over time you can see which corners you know well, and where you've never set foot.
