London accounts for a surprising share: the Tower of London, the Palace of Westminster, Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace are all here, with Hampton Court Palace a kilometer from East Molesey and Windsor Castle further up the Thames. Outside the capital, Warwick Castle (1068) stands in Warwick and Kenilworth Castle a kilometer from Kenilworth, Chatsworth House is 12 km from Dronfield, Blenheim Palace 11 km from Witney, and St Michael's Mount Castle 4 km from Penzance.
RLQuest knows 511 named castles, palaces and stately homes in England, 314 of them with a Wikipedia article. Ruins (783), viewpoints (690) and caves (492) are longer English lists still. The app hands out a few outdoor quests a day and checks them against where you actually went, so a castle visit is credited by your route, not your say-so.

RLQuest knows these places too. Which means:
Some of your daily quests lead to a real place near you. The app uses your location to check you were really there.
If you're the first person in RLQuest to complete a quest at a place, it's your first find. The Place Book shows you which kinds of place you're still missing.
Every walk uncovers tiles, each about 350 m across. Over time you can see which corners you know well, and where you've never set foot.
